Why do Mexican / Hispanic Girls & Women Wear Clothes That Are Too Tight??
Ok, so this may sound like a strange question, but the topic of Mexican / Hispanic girls wearing tight clothes came up while a group of friends and I were at the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento last weekend.
We sat at one of the center consoles to rest after a few hours of hectic Christmas shopping, and couldn’t help but notice the masses of Mexican girls walking past wearing clothes that were at least 2 sizes too small, with their fat rolls hanging out all over the place. As if that was not bad enough, they all seemed to have “supermodel” attitudes, walking around like they owned the place. They were all seriously so stuffed into their clothing and skinny jeans that most of them appeared to have trouble walking. It actually caused them to waddle rather than walk. We weren’t the only group who noticed this – a group of guys was sitting near by and they were pointing and laughing…one of them was even taking pictures! We were a bit more discreet about our comments than the men. Most of the girls looked like they were sizes 10-14, which isn't even "fat"! They could easily have dressed themselves fashionably without making it look like they were stuffed into their clothes with a shoe horn. Wearing tight clothes makes one look fatter than they actually are.
Now I’m not trying to be racist or rude here, just pointing out the facts. By no measure are Mexican girls the only ones who wear ill fitting clothes; but they do seem to be the majority. I have several acquaintances who are Mexican and they dress the same way. It’s not something I point out to them directly, because I would feel bad. However, most of them have complained to me about their weight at some point, and I have given subtle hints… “Sometimes it helps to wear clothes that are a size bigger; that can make you appear smaller”… or, “Have you gone shopping since you gained weight? Some new clothes that fit better might help you feel more secure with appearance”. But nothing changes. They continue to buy clothing that is too small and complain about their weight.
The worst part is, they all seem to KNOW that they’re fat, yet don’t want to dress appropriately and don’t want to bother losing weight. Look at caterpillar girl in the picture above. Why not just buy the dress in a size that fits? And how in holy hell could this possibly be comfortable?
People laugh at them behind their backs and they seem oblivious. You can tell they at least care about fashion and trends, because the clothes are usually cute – they are just WAY too small. So please, whatever your nationality, if you get dressed in the morning and your fat rolls hang out over the top of your pants, go buy bigger pants!!

People laugh at them behind their backs and they seem oblivious. You can tell they at least care about fashion and trends, because the clothes are usually cute – they are just WAY too small. So please, whatever your nationality, if you get dressed in the morning and your fat rolls hang out over the top of your pants, go buy bigger pants!!

Most Hispanics don't care about what other people think they tend to have a high self esteem. How do I know this because I go to school with alot of them I am Mexican myself and If you try to tell one that their fat or to lose wright they would simply start screaming fast and shouting at you that she doesn't give a fuck then other overweight girls get in and get on her side yeah that's how it is I've done it before its simply stupid but there's average girl sizes :).... Btw Mexican is a nationality not a race where also white I'm white

DeleteThis is sooooo true!!!! It’s absolutely nasty how they stuff themselves into tiny clothes and all their fat sticks out. Why????? It makes my eyes want to bleed. My sister has this Mexican friend who wore an ugly short, white dress to her bachelorette party. The Mexican girl isn’t even that fat, but since the dress was 2 sizes too small she looked huge. It was seriously so short & tight she couldn’t even walk or bend. And why in the hell would anyone want to feel so uncomfortable in their clothes? We were at a club and it was like her feet were just shuffling because she couldn’t move her legs. If I had a friend who dressed like that, I would suggest a shopping trip & help them out.

DeleteIt's true all cultures seem to have their problems, this one happens to be the Hispanic variety. Just true, and saying so doesn't make you racist. I'm tired of people overusing that to describe any cultural reference they find less than agreeable. My friend from Puerto Rico told me her mother told her to wear it as tight as possible to "show what you've got." I said what if what you've got is a train wreck (I had just had a baby, train wreck city.) Then we just had a laugh. Lighten up, we've all seen this muffin top broken can of biscuits fashion. White girls and black girls have started doing it too, just like the well known black guy pants droop. It's more racist to act stupidly in denial because to do so you've taken race into account and treat people differently based on race..but reality is reality. And it's still rampant among Hispanic chicks lol

I say if you are built like a refrigerator with legs or the Tasmanian Devil then you should not dare want to wear anything tight but hey, what can you say? Most of them think they are sexy in their tiny tight clothes so let them believe that lol but many people think that they look funny so let us laugh

There has been so much brainwash bullshit from the fashion industry and Hollywood that only women with the bodies of 13 year old boys are desirable. I'm a black Latino,and I'm around lots of other Latino's and Hispanics and it's always the Mexican women and sometimes the guys as well, that dress like there's a "one size fits all" on every clothing label.
Sometimes it looks plain ole' disgusting and comical to the point I just laugh in their faces and play it off like I'm laughing at something else.
Met this one lady yesterday could double as the Michelin tire mascot, and could stunt double as the ghostbusters marshmallow man.
so what is the answer??

I thought it's because white men like them and like them thick too and they feel they can get away with things and probably do with the bad things going on in TJ and parts of mexico. Does anyone know about or have a link to open top Mexican shirt? Is it what the sleezy women there wear?I cant find nothing directly linking and I got stuck by the border not thinking being here and I am trying to avoid those kind of women. It is good to know these things for me because I don't want to attract men that way or get involved with them because of trust issues and what problems they can get you in. There are some real dumb ones that don't care. I am not mexican but when I was younger I didn't think on how to dress but when I got older I payed more attention. The older ones dressing inappropriate might just be wanting to attract men or really don't care, just brought up that way. I noticed they have a strong thing to want get married too. Please if someone knows about the clothing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you should ask directly if they really are mexican. Here there are fat mexicans and I ask and they do have the decency to say that they are. Just have to think like in other parts they marry into the USA the family of family have property and have more money to spend on food and health like any fat white woman you see or black.
Why don't we look at the hyper-sexualized cultures these women come from and the ridiculous expectations of how they are supposed to look (different look, same pressure on all women everywhere). Honestly, all I think when I see jeans that are 2 sizes 2 small is how incredibly painful & uncomfortable it looks & it makes me sad that they are willing to go thru that much discomfort for a look, that goes for any woman of any race/ethnicity. Personally, I dress for my body type whether I'm thin or fat & am not interested in exposing my fat, cellulite & rolls to everyone & look for clean lines. But to each her own.
ReplyDeleteI was asking someone this very question yesterday. Where I live, it's an everyday sight and down right vulgar at times! The other thing you see is women in public wearing fuzzy bedroom slippers & pajamas.
ReplyDeleteBoth dirty looking, as if worn 3-4 days straight. Wrinkled t-shirts and no bra. Their frequent use of the "F" word, or its plural
about every 3rd word. Seems to be a normal thing. I'm from SC but live in West TX, and women there and in my family just never talked like that. They were feminine and lady like. Women here are very masculine and seem to think that and all the cursing is attractive. When it's really a very unappealing , disappointing, turn off. Their goals seem to be nothing more than to find the 1st man they can leech themselves to.
Move in, not work, sleep 'till 12 o'clock,
and hook him into footing the entire bill by purposely getting pregnant. All the while treating him only as good as he is useful, and their love only as deep as his pockets! In 6yrs I've not met one that I'd waste 5mins on.
This is the craziest place I've ever lived in.
